Shred the Secrets Mechanics Explained
This video breaks down the core loop of Shred the Secrets — how collecting documents, the shredder, upgrades, and secret hunting all fit together.

Upgrade Lines
Increases your walking/running speed so you can haul documents between rooms and the shredder faster.
Raises how many documents you can carry per trip before returning to the shredder.
Improves your vacuum's pickup range and speed for hoovering documents off desks and floors.
Speeds up how quickly your shredder chews through the documents you feed it.
Unlocks access to deeper rooms, floors, and story progression gates.
Secret Types
Hidden Office Interactions
SecretInteracting with unusual objects in offices can trigger secret events and badge unlocks.
Not every object in the office is set dressing. Certain interactable items trigger hidden events tied to Secret Discovery badges. If something looks slightly out of place, click it — the community is still cataloguing which interactions count.
Keys & Locked Areas
SecretHidden keys open locked rooms that contain extra documents, secrets, and badge triggers.
Locked doors in Shred the Secrets are not decoration — keys hidden around the map open side areas with bonus loot and secret-related badges. Sweep each floor thoroughly before moving on if you are chasing 100% discovery.
Alternate Ending Actions
SecretPerforming specific actions (or refusing to) changes which ending you get.
The game has multiple endings. Walkthroughs confirm at least two distinct endings, reached by making different choices about what you shred and how you interact with key objects. Full ending conditions are still being documented by the community — our tracker updates as they are confirmed.
Unusual Office Events
SecretRare ambient events occur while you work — witnessing or reacting to them counts toward secret badges.
Stay alert while shredding: odd events can play out around you, from strange sounds to surveillance moments. Some Secret Discovery badges are tied to these events. Keep your volume on and investigate anything abnormal.
